The soup is then poured into bowls, covered with slices of crusty bread and plenty of Gruyere cheese, before being gratinated in the oven until a delicious golden, crispy crust is obtained. The result is a warm and cosy dish, perfect for warming up on cold days and delighting the palate with its wealth of flavours.
